006. The Magic of Alignment: A Crucial Step You May Be Missing For Lasting Ease And Well-Being

What if I told you that a few simple shifts in your posture and movement could unlock a whole new level of wellness- one where you move with greater ease, feel more energized, experience less pain and function more efficiently?
Every day your body silently adjusts to the demands that you and your life place on it, but what you may not realize is those adjustments can lead you down a path of discomfort, pain and greater imbalance making everyday more challenging.
Our bodies very quickly adapt by making these adjustments. When these adjustments are repeated in response to signals from our internal or external environment, they gradually become wired into our nervous system as patterns. Over time, these patterns influence how we hold our posture and how we move. As a result, imbalances become ingrained in our structure and the tissues like our fascia matrix, leading to tighter and weaker areas, dysfunctional movement patterns, pain, and restrictions. [Note: The fascial matrix is a huge component of postural alignment. As alignment becomes adjusted and reconfigured, the fascia responds and can become sticky, thickened, dehydrated and brittle. Did you know that alignment is so much more than appearance and standing up straight. It is about the optimal positioning of your body that allows all systems- musculoskeletal, fascia, nervous, organ and lymphatic systems to function efficiently as they are intended. We all know that misalignment can greatly affect your soft tissue (muscles and fascia), joints and nerves. But the impact affects your WHOLE body, system wide.
